PalThink for Strategic Studies organised an event titled “Youth for Reconciliation” in Gaza City on 8 March 2010: a large mural in the city centre with drawings calling for an end to the Palestinian division. PalThink director Omar Shaban said the work was carried out by a group of outstanding young Palestinians expressing reality through art and caricature, rejecting a bitter situation that has harmed the Palestinian cause. He stressed that reconciliation is a popular demand, that the event was part of a series of earlier activities, and called for similar popular action and for a public movement pressing both sides until the division ends and national reconciliation is achieved.
