Predictions of Further Economic Deterioration in the West Bank and Gaza

In a video interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, economist Omar Shaban, founder and director of PalThink for Strategic Studies, predicts further deterioration of the economic situation in Palestine in general and in the Gaza Strip in particular, amid successive global crises. He attributes this outlook to developments that have affected European and Western funding of the Palestinian Authority, especially in the absence of Palestinian consensus, and to the lack of a political horizon caused by the continuing division and the failure to hold legislative and presidential elections.
